I used two cakes to make the hat shape, round 7 inch and a dome (one that I would use to make a Barbie cake). I carved out the features and then crumb coated the cake before applying the sugarpaste. I dusted the cake with cocoa powder to give it more of an authentic look. The child in question thought it was fab x
My 9 year old daughter is a huge Harry Potter fan and LOVES this cake. She and her friends thought it was so realistic that they were even asking it questions! Another triumph by Eileen.
